Mullein (Common)
The mighty mullein is a herbaceous biennial or short-lived perennial with medicinal uses. First year plants are low growing fuzzy rosettes. In its second year it can produce a tall flower stock of 5-10 feet and produces very beautiful yellow flowers. Each individual flower opens before dawn and closes by mid-afternoon. The flowers attract a wide variety of pollinators. Great for respiratory conditions.
Actions of Mullein: pectoral, demulcent, relaxant, lymphatic, modulates inflammation, antiviral, anti bacterial, vulnerary, expectorant
